Do You Really Need A Professional Carpet Cleaner?
You probably vacuum your carpets every day and if there are no obvious
stains you think your carpets are pretty clean. The fact is, vacuuming only
removes the lighter and courser debris on the surface
that hasn't had a chance to settle into the carpet. Just imagine, the
contents you empty from your vacuum cleaner is probably only half of what is
actually in your carpet.
Would you be
satisfied with just sweeping your tile or hardwood floors and only mopping
once a year? That is why a regular cleaning schedule
and a good professional carpet cleaner is a must
for good carpet care.
What Everyone Should Know... About
What's In The Carpet!
The typical "everyday" dirt you vacuum from your carpet is comprised of
cigarette ash, fibers (wool, cotton,
paper, silk and synthetic), fingernail filings, food crumbs, animal and human
hair, insect fragments, paint chips, plant parts, pollen, salt and sugar
crystals,
human skin scales, animal dander, soil, fungal spores and tobacco. What stays
imbedded in your carpet is smoke, cooking vapor residue and bacteria.
Did you know humans continuously shed skin and lose about 1/5th ounce of dead
skin every week and if you have pets, they leave
dander deposits wherever they walk, scratch and sleep? These two things are
the main ingredient that will attract household pests and allow them to thrive
and reproduce for a long time.
The normal EVERYDAY deposits left on your carpet is a literal smorgasbord for
house dust mites. House dust mites feed
on human skin scales, pollen, fungi, bacteria and animal dander.
What are dust mites? House
dust
mites are found in almost EVERY home! They find their way into your
home through open doors, the cracks around and under doors and from the bottom
of your shoes.
There are two species
of house dust mites in North America. These mites are about 1/100th of an
inch long and are virtually invisible without
magnification. They are globe-shaped and have eight legs. Female dust mites
lay one to two eggs per day. These eggs are cream-colored and are coated with
a sticky substance so they will
cling to carpet fibers.
The big concern about dust mites is that people
are allergic to them. The symptoms associated with dust mite allergies
include sneezing, itchy-watery eyes, nasal
stuffiness, runny nose, stuffy ears, respiratory problems, eczema and asthma.
The dust mite allergen is their tiny feces and body fragments which become a
component of your everyday
household dust. These particles are so small they become airborne and are
inhaled into your lungs.
If you lay on a carpet that has dust mites
you may develop red itchy bumps due to
the dust mite allergen coming into contact with your skin!
What can be done to avoid dust mites in YOUR carpet?
vacuuming with a
good vacuum with HEPA filters, a regular cleaning
schedule and a good professional carpet cleaner will definitely help.
Amazingly . . . There is a "PROVEN" way to get your
carpet deep cleaned, restore it's natural beauty, control household pests and
have a healthier home!
